Terpenes – general information
Terpenes are part of essential oils of cannabis and they have specific flavor and fragrance due to their volatility. Analysis of terpenes are provide through static headspace by GC-FID. The sample of optimal 10 grams is needed due to low concentrations of terpenes.
Mostly analysed terpenes: Alpha-Pinene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Sabinene, p-Cymene, Limonene, Linalool, Borneol, Terpinolene, Alpha-Humulene, Geraniol, Alpha-Terpinene
